- Baby is in the head down position, getting ready for her big entrance.
- Baby looks good. I'll probably deliver a 7 lbs baby.
- My iron is a little bit low so I'll have to take a supplement.
How far along? 33 weeks + 5 days!
Baby is the size of a pineapple!
What's new for baby?
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark (about the size of a pineapple). He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.(BabyCenter)Total weight gain/measurements: 15 pounds! Yes, fifteen! Can you believe it?!
Maternity clothes: 3 dresses, 1 pair of shorts and one top. I do not really need much, and I feel like the end is near.
Sleep: Between my big belly and the endless trips to the loo, it's getting difficult to rest these days...
Best moment this week: Just knowing that our baby is looking great warmed my heart.
Movement: Yes, lots of it! I feel that she is bigger and stronger now.
Food cravings: Ice chips, strawberry Nesquik and soy milk.
Symptoms: Contractions, tiredness, pelvic pressure, leg cramps...
Belly button in or out? In. I do not think it will ever be out.
Wedding rings on or off? On, my fingers are still the same. Yay! :)
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. I can stop thinking about how much our lives will change once she comes into the world.
Looking forward to: Pack the hospital bag, get her room cleaned and ready.
Stretch marks? None -yet-! I keep using oils and lots of lotion several times during the day. So far so good.
Here is the bump for 33 weeks...
