Harlow's six month old update

How could I have forgotten to post about this huge milestone? Well, I am a mother (I do not know if thats an excuse or a real explanation) but there's always lots of things on the to-do-list and I, somehow, keep forgetting some of my tasks... ugh... anyways, here's my 6 month old peanut...
Weight: 18 lbs
Diaper size: 4 (Size four holds her poo better!)
Clothing size: 9 months
Health: She's growing up extremely fast. Nobody can't stop her!
Sleep: She is doing great. I am finally feeling like a normal human again. She sleeps 5-7 hours during the night, wakes up and goes back to sleep. I can't complain. She does naps during the day as well.
Diet: breast-milk and fruits/veggies/cereal. I think breakfast is her favorite time. She loves sweet potatoes, bananas, milk, squash. She enjoys trying new flavors!
Loves: food!!! my crazy faces and disturbing dances moves, dada's hugs and kisses and nana's cuddles.
Dislikes: Ok, so there's this toy that she absolutely hates. She can't even see it, it really upsets her...
Milestones: She sits up and eats like a champ! She relaxes in the tub and rolls up (when she wants to). She has more hair!
Speech: no words yet, but she babbles a lot. She's always trying to say something.

Harlow's five month old update

Weight: 16 lbs
Diaper size: 3-4 (Size four holds her poo better!)
Clothing size: 6 or 6-9 months
Health: Great. Even though she was small when she was born, she's a good size now. Chubby & cute!
Sleep: She is starting to have a 'routine' (we have been very busy and we were in Costa Rica a week ago so it was hard to follow a schedule, so we just winged it). She sleeps from 10pm to 3am,  has a snack-aroo, falls back asleep 3:45am to 8am, wakes up and eats and plays for a couple of hours, sleeps some more 10am to 12pm, eats more and stays awake 1.5-3 hours, takes a nap 3pm to 5pm, plays some more and eats MORE & MORE (She increases her portions as the nights gets close, another nap from 7pm to 8pm, eats MORE! and finally falls asleep for four or five lovely hours. While she sleeps, I try to get things done, you know the cool awesome stuff every mom gets to do... laundry, dishes, folding clothes, vacuuming, taking a shower, getting dressed, making dinner...?... Days usually pass by super quick with her. But I love it.
Diet: breastmilk! She eats veggie puree or cereal once in a while, but her diet is 98% breastmilk.
Loves: Music toys, standing up, kisses, fart noises, licking her kitty rattle and mom's hand, pools.
Dislikes: She does not enjoy when someone laughs while she's crying.
Milestones: She is almost ready to sit up, she pays attention to mom and dad's voice and mouth movement as we talk, she puts her feet in her mouth and kicks very hard.
Speech: no words yet, but I have a feeling that she'll say dadda very soon.

Harlow's three month old update

Weight: 12 lbs 11oz
Diaper size: 2
Clothing size: 3-6 months
Health: She's a healthy baby. The only thing that has been bothering her for the past two weeks is coughing. Today we have an appointment with her doctor, so we'll see how it goes.
Sleep: She is starting to sleep more. She's been sleeping for 5-7 hours straight (happy cry...) and we're still co-sleeping. I used to be an ew-I-do-not-like-co-sleeping kinda person and look at me! I love it. She's only gonna be little for a few months so it does not bother me. I promise that soon she'll be sleeping in her crib.
Diet: breastmilk and formula -very rarely-. Maybe next month we'll try some rice cereal?!
Loves: She likes her Fischer Price Kick and Piano Gym and her Infantino Topsy Turtle. She also likes when I laugh and laughs back in response.
Dislikes: She still hates to be put down and left on flat surfaces. She hates to be gassy -who doesn't?-
Milestones: She is great at holding her head up and kicks really hard. She is an observer, she wants to see what's going on in the world around her...
Speech: laughing, cooing, giggling... it's adorable!

Breastfeeding struggles

I have to be honest and admit that breastfeeding has not being easy for me. It has been only until this moment that I can say that the pain is almost gone.
The first weeks were very hard. I wanted to give up and just give her formula; and at the same time, I felt useless and cruel as a mother. Why wasn't I able to give her my milk like the other mothers do?  The pain was awful, I cried several nights and I could not feel satisfied with my experience.
My husband kept pushing me to continue breastfeeding her and I will always be thankful for that. He made me believe that I could do it. So I listened to him and kept going even when I was feeling that I was going nowhere... And it got better! Somehow the pain became less and less and I started to enjoy my natural job!
My heart felt full when her newborn sized clothes became too small for her.
To this day, it still hurts a little bit and sometimes I need a break so I give her a bottle and that does not make me feel less of a woman.

She is a happy eight week old baby. She is always smiling and moving her extremities!

I feel so happy that I endure and hold on. Being a mom has been the hardest job I've ever gotten but it has been the most rewarding & satisfying one!

Harlow's two month old update

Weight: 8 lbs 2oz
Diaper size: 1
Clothing size: 0-3 months
Health: great!
Sleep: She is getting better! Our little peanut is starting to sleep more through the night. She only wakes up once or twice, I nursed her and she falls asleep again. The only problem is caused by me: I am letting her stay in our bed (yes, I know). I am not planning to co-sleep at all, I will try to be more strict, I promise.
Diet: 98% breast milk and 2% formula. There are times when my breasts are empty and sore...
Loves: She truly enjoys daddy's kisses and her little Mr. Patito (her bath duckie)
Dislikes: She hates to be put down and left on flat surfaces. She cries like you're abandoning her, poor munchkin.
Milestones: She looks directly to your eyes and pays attention to Mommy and daddy's voice. She holds her head up for some seconds and smiles and laughs often.
Speech: She coos and makes cute little sounds in respond.
